Endowment Plan

Savings + Protection

← All Conventional Plans Endowment Plan — poster

This plan gives you both savings and protection — you receive the amount at the end of the term, and if anything happens in between, your family still gets complete protection.

What this plan offers

  • At maturity: if you survive the term, you receive the Sum Assured + accrued Bonus
  • On death (God forbid): if death occurs during the term, the full Sum Assured + Bonus is paid to your heirs
  • This is a with-profit plan — you share in State Life’s annual bonus
  • Once at least 2 years of premiums are paid, the policy acquires a Surrender Value
  • The policy can be cancelled within 14 days of receiving it (free look period)

Eligibility and term

  • Entry age: minimum 10 years, maximum 65 years
  • Maximum age at maturity: 75 years
  • Premiums: yearly, half-yearly, quarterly or monthly — payable until the end of the term or death, whichever comes first
  • Extra cover (riders): additional cover such as Accidental Death Benefit can be added — on accidental death, an extra amount equal to the basic Sum Assured is paid

How much will the premium be?

The premium depends on your age, Sum Assured and term. A real example: age 30, term 20 years, Sum Assured Rs 500,000 — yearly premium Rs 24,060 (monthly Rs 2,165). You can also add the Family Income Benefit (FIB) and Accidental Death Benefit (ADB) riders — the calculator below includes them. Use the calculator to work out your own premium, or share your age and required amount on WhatsApp to get your exact figure.

Child Education & Marriage Plan

Preparing for Your Child’s Future

← All Conventional Plans Child Education & Marriage Plan — poster

The Child Education & Marriage Plan is made for one purpose: your child’s future. It provides a lump sum when your child reaches the age where money matters most — 18, 21 or 25 years — the time of higher education, marriage, or setting up a business.

How it works

  • You choose the target age: 18, 21 or 25 years
  • At the end of the term, the child receives the full Sum Assured + accrued Bonuses
  • The amount can be taken as a lump sum, or in five equal annual instalments

Who can take this plan

  • Child’s age at entry: 1 to 15 years
  • Policyholder’s age at entry: 20 to 60 years
  • Plan term: 10 to 24 years (set so the amount is payable at age 18, 21 or 25)
  • Parents can take this plan — and so can grandparents, uncles, aunts, or anyone who pays for the child’s maintenance

If the child passes away during the term (God forbid)

The policyholder can choose:

  • Continue the same plan for another child, or
  • Take a refund of all premiums paid or the policy’s cash value — whichever is higher — or
  • Continue the policy without naming another child

Good to know

  • Premium is level — the same every year — payable till maturity
  • The Family Income Benefit (FIB) Rider can be attached separately (this plan has no built-in income benefit)
  • ADB (Accidental Death Benefit) rider is also available
  • No medical evidence is required on the child’s life

A real example: Policyholder age 30, child age 5, amount payable at age 25, Sum Assured Rs 500,000 → annual premium Rs 24,060 (monthly instalment Rs 2,165).

Note: Final premium is subject to State Life’s underwriting. For your child’s exact premium, use the Premium Calculator on this page or contact on WhatsApp: 0336-3598210

Jeevan Sathi Plan

One Policy — Protection for Both Lives

← All Conventional Plans Jeevan Sathi Plan — poster

Jeevan Sathi is a joint-life plan for a husband and wife. One policy covers both lives, with one Sum Assured — so the protection continues even if one of you is no longer there.

How it works

  • Premiums are payable until the end of the term, or the first death, whichever comes first.
  • On the first death, the Sum Assured is paid to the surviving spouse — and all further premiums are waived. The surviving spouse’s cover continues, and the policy keeps sharing in bonuses.
  • On the second death, the Sum Assured is paid again, together with the bonuses — a double payment of protection from a single plan.
  • If the surviving spouse lives to the end of the term, the Sum Assured and bonuses are paid at maturity — even though the Sum Assured was already paid once.
  • If both of you survive the term, the Sum Assured and bonuses are paid at maturity.
  • Both lives are medically examined, and two proposal forms are completed — one for each life.

Terms available: 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 or 35 years

How the premium is calculated

The premium is based on an Equivalent Age. If both of you are the same age, that age is used. If your ages differ, a small deduction (from the State Life Uniform Seniority Table) is made from the elder spouse’s age — so an age gap does not push the premium up unfairly. Try it yourself in the calculator below.

Extra protection

  • ADB (Accidental Death Benefit) can be added for both lives. Note: special terms and conditions (T&C) apply to ADB on the woman’s life — please ask for details.

A real example (from the official rate book): Husband aged 30, wife aged 30, 20-year term, Sum Assured Rs 500,000 → Annual Premium Rs 28,010 — just Rs 2,521 per month to protect both lives with one policy.

Note: The premium shown by the calculator is an estimate. The final premium is decided by State Life’s policy and underwriting.

Extra protection

  • ADB (Accidental Death Benefit) can be added — standard rate Rs 1.25 per Rs 1,000 of Sum Assured.

Term Insurance — Nigehban Plan

Pure Protection — Big Cover at the Lowest Premium

← All Conventional Plans Term Insurance — Nigehban Plan — poster

The Term Insurance plan — the Nigehban Plan — is a pure protection plan. It carries no savings or maturity component, which is why it gives the largest life cover for the lowest premium: if death occurs during the chosen term while the policy is in force, the full sum assured is paid to your family.

Salient features

  • Entry age: 20 to 60 years (age nearest birthday)
  • Term: 5 to 10 years — you choose
  • Two ways to pay: yearly premiums (Table 24 — yearly mode only, there is no monthly mode in this plan), or a single premium paid once for the whole term (Table 25)
  • Pure death cover: sum assured is payable on death during the term; there is no maturity benefit, no surrender value and no loan value, and the plan is without profits
  • Accidental Death Benefit (ADB) rider may be attached at Rs 1.25 per Rs 1,000 of sum assured (on the single premium plan, the rider premium for the whole term is charged once, at the start)
  • The normal Non-Medical Scheme and underwriting requirements apply

A real example (from the official rate book): Age 30, term 10 years, Sum Assured Rs 500,000 → yearly premium only Rs 2,550 (Table 24), or a single premium of Rs 22,440 once for the full 10 years (Table 25). Use the calculator below to work out your own premium — it works both ways: enter a sum assured to get the premium, or enter your yearly budget to see how much cover it buys at your age.

Takaful Endowment Plan

Shariah-Compliant Protection with Bonuses and Savings

← All Takaful Plans Tayyab Takaful Endowment Plan — official poster

Takaful Endowment is a bonus-based, Shariah-compliant plan that combines life protection with savings. Your contributions are shared between the Participant Takaful Endowment Fund (PTEF), which provides your Sum Cover and declared bonuses, and the Participant Investment Endowment Fund (PIEF), which builds your investment value — family protection and disciplined savings in one membership.

Salient features

  • Entry age: 18 to 65 years
  • Contribution paying term: 10 to 57 years — offered where entry age + term does not exceed 75 (maximum maturity age 75)
  • Contributions: calculated from the rate book’s contribution table for your age and term, applied per Rs 1,000 of Sum Cover, and shown here on an annual basis
  • Minimum contribution: Annual Rs 15,000 · Semi-Annual Rs 10,000 · Quarterly Rs 5,000 · Monthly Rs 2,500
  • Death benefit: Sum Cover plus declared bonuses from the PTEF, and in addition the carrying value of the PIEF is payable to the nominee
  • Maturity benefit: Sum Cover and declared bonuses from the PTEF, in addition to the carrying value of the PIEF
  • Supplementary Takaful benefits (riders): Accidental Death Benefit (ADB), Accidental Death and Indemnity Benefit (AIB), Family Income Benefit (FIB) and Term Takaful Rider — as the rate book notes, the contribution rates of supplementary Takaful contracts are the same as those of conventional business
  • Unit allocations: 1st year 40% · 2nd year 80% · 3rd year 90% · 4th year onwards 100%
  • Surplus sharing: any surplus is shared 97.5% to participants as bonuses / 2.5% to the Operator’s Shareholders Fund (OSF), as printed in the rate book
  • Partial withdrawal: available after two membership years, subject to the conditions in the membership documents

An example (computed from the rate book’s table): at entry age 30 with a contribution paying term of 20 years, the table rate is Rs 47.53 per Rs 1,000 of Sum Cover — so for a Sum Cover of Rs 5,00,000, the annual contribution is 47.53 × 500 = Rs 23,765.

Please note: declared bonuses are announced under the Takaful model and the investment fund value depends on investment performance, which is borne by the participant — actual values may be lower or higher than any illustration. No fixed or guaranteed amount or return is promised.

Takaful Child Education & Marriage Plan

Shariah-Compliant Savings for Your Child’s Education and Marriage

← All Takaful Plans Takaful Child Education & Marriage Plan — poster

Takaful Child Education & Marriage is a unit-linked, Shariah-compliant plan for building a lump sum for your child’s education and marriage. The contribution level is chosen by you, the participant, and your contributions accumulate in the Participants Investment Fund (PIF). The plan is inspired by State Life’s conventional Child Education and Marriage Plan (Table 76), in a Shariah-compliant Takaful form.

Salient features

  • Contribution: chosen by the participant (level basic contribution) — no fixed rate table applies to this plan
  • Participant entry age: 18 to 57 years
  • Term: 10 to 30 years (maximum maturity age 67)
  • Sum Cover: Basic Annual Contribution × term (see the book’s example below)
  • Minimum contribution: Annual Rs 15,000 · Semi-Annual Rs 10,000 · Quarterly Rs 5,000 · Monthly Rs 2,500
  • If the participant passes away: the membership continues — subsequent regular contributions are waived (paid from the Participants Takaful Fund into the investment fund), so the planned savings for the child are still achieved, and the accumulated fund value is paid at maturity
  • Maturity benefit: the accumulated value of the Participants Investment Fund
  • Unit allocations: 1st year 40% · 2nd year 80% · 3rd year 90% · 4th year onwards 100%
  • Partial withdrawal: available after the first membership year, at the latest NAV
  • Surrender: 100% of the investment fund at the latest NAV, with no surrender charge
  • Surplus sharing: any surplus is shared through PIF units — 80% to participants / 20% to the Operator’s Shareholders Fund (OSF) as Modarib Fee, as printed in the rate book

The rate book’s own example: a Basic Annual Contribution of Rs 50,000 with a term of 20 years gives a Sum Cover of Rs 50,000 × 20 = Rs 10,00,000.

Please note: this is a unit-linked plan. The value of your investment fund depends on investment performance, and the investment risk is borne by the participant — actual maturity and surrender values may be lower or higher than any illustration. Takaful Golden Endowment Plan

20 Years of Cover — Contributions for Only 7 Years

← All Takaful Plans Takaful Golden Endowment Plan — poster

Takaful Golden Endowment is a bonus-based, Shariah-compliant plan designed for those who want long-term protection without a long payment commitment: you pay contributions for only the first 7 years, while your cover — and your participation in the fund’s surplus — continues for the full 20-year coverage term.

Salient features

  • Coverage term: 20 years (fixed)
  • Contribution paying term: 7 years only — benefits and bonuses are based on the 20 coverage years, and the membership continues to participate in surplus after the 7-year contribution term; the bonuses announced for a 20-year Takaful Endowment plan apply to this plan
  • Entry age: 20 to 55 years
  • Contributions: calculated from the rate book’s single rate table for your entry age, applied per Rs 1,000 of Sum Cover, and shown here on an annual basis
  • Minimum annual contribution: Rs 15,000
  • Death benefit: Sum Cover plus declared bonuses from the Participant Takaful Fund (PTF), and in addition the carrying value of the Participant Investment Fund (PIF) is payable to the nominee
  • Maturity benefit: Sum Cover and declared bonuses from the PTF, in addition to the carrying value of the PIF
  • Supplementary Takaful benefits (riders): Accidental Death Benefit (ADB) and Term Takaful Rider (TTR) — rider contributions are payable for seven years only while protection runs for the entire membership term; maximum rider entry age 55 years, and rider benefits cease at age 70
  • Unit allocations: 1st year 70% · 2nd year 85% · 3rd year 90% · 4th year onwards 100%
  • Surplus sharing: any surplus is shared 97.5% to participants as bonuses / 2.5% to the Operator’s Shareholders Fund (OSF), as printed in the rate book
  • Partial withdrawal: available after two membership years, subject to the conditions in the membership documents

An example (computed from the rate book’s table): at entry age 30, the table rate is Rs 106.12 per Rs 1,000 of Sum Cover — so for a Sum Cover of Rs 5,00,000, the annual contribution is 106.12 × 500 = Rs 53,060, payable for 7 years only, while cover continues for 20 years.

Please note: declared bonuses are announced under the Takaful model and the investment fund value depends on investment performance, which is borne by the participant — actual values may be lower or higher than any illustration. No fixed or guaranteed amount or return is promised.

Note: The contribution shown by the calculator follows the rate book’s contribution table for your entry age, applied per Rs 1,000 of Sum Cover, on an annual basis. Final terms and conditions are as per the State Life Takaful membership documents.

Takaful Savings Plan

Shariah-Compliant Savings with Life Protection

← All Takaful Plans Takaful Savings Plan — poster

Takaful Savings is a unit-linked, Shariah-compliant plan in which you choose your own contribution level. Your contributions accumulate in the Participants Investment Fund (PIF), while the plan provides life protection throughout the term — savings growth and family protection in one membership.

Salient features

  • Contribution: chosen by the participant (level basic contribution, payable throughout the term) — no fixed rate table applies to this plan
  • Entry age: 18 to 56 years
  • Term: 10 to 48 years (maximum maturity age 66)
  • Sum Cover: Basic Annual Contribution × term (see the book’s example below)
  • Minimum basic contribution: Annual Rs 15,000 · Semi-Annual Rs 10,000 · Quarterly Rs 5,000 · Monthly Rs 2,500
  • Death benefit: the higher of the Sum Cover or the Carrying Value of the Participants Investment Fund
  • Fund choices: three Shariah-compliant funds — Conservative, Balanced and Aggressive — with free switching up to 3 times per membership year
  • Surplus sharing: any surplus is shared through PIF units — 80% to participants / 20% to the Operator’s Shareholders Fund (OSF) as Modarib Fee, as printed in the rate book

No fixed or guaranteed maturity amount or return is promised.

Note: The Sum Cover shown by the calculator follows the rate book’s formula (Basic Annual Contribution × term). Final terms and conditions are as per the State Life Takaful membership documents.
